Grades for CSC574/ECE574, Spring 2007
You can find the grades for the course here.
I processed your student ID numbers to produce a "Hash" by simply
adding together the digits of your student ID, grouped two at a time
(except for the first digit) + the number corresponding to the first
letter of your last name (A=1, B=2, ...). For instance, for
student J. Smith with ID
123456789, the hash would be 1+23+45+67+89+19=244. There were a
few
collisions, so be sure you are looking at the right row before you pass
out; use your knowledge of your grades to resolve these collisions.
:-)
I enjoyed your projects. The average on the project was pretty
high. Grades were assigned based on a variety of factors, such as
quality of writing and the presentation, how much original
thought/effort went into the project and the report, and how insightful
I thought the work and ideas were.
The final exam average was 80.6. This was then curved by 3 points to give an average of 83.6.
The course grades were then computed as shown on the syllabus.
There was no curving of the course grades. Letter grades
were assigned as indicated also on the syllabus.
